Kore.ai application must be authorized to send and receive messages from the Workplace by Facebook channel.<\/p>\n<p>Add Workplace by Facebook Channel<br \/>\nTo complete the following procedure, you must have an admin account in the <em>Facebook Workplace Developers Portal<\/em> (<span style=\"color: #0000ff\">https:\/\/&lt;<strong><em>Your Domain<\/em><\/strong>&gt;workplace.com\/work\/admin<\/span>).<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In Bot Builder, under the <strong>Bots<\/strong> section, click the bot you want to enable the Workplace by Facebook channel.<\/li>\n<li>On the <strong>Channels<\/strong> tab, click the <strong>Workplace by Facebook<\/strong> icon.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Workplace by Facebook Channel<\/strong>\u00a0page is displayed.<\/li>\n<li>Go to the <strong>Configurations<\/strong> tab:\n<ul>\n<li>In the <strong>Communication Mode<\/strong> section, select one or both of the following:\n<ul>\n<li>Allow communication with a bot in a Workplace Group<\/li>\n<li>Allow communication with a bot through a Work Chat<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>In the <strong>Manage Permissions<\/strong> section, set the following as per your requirements (<a href=\"https:\/\/developers.facebook.com\/docs\/workplace\/reference\/permissions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">click here for more on the permissions<\/a>):\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Message any member<\/strong> &#8211; To send messages to any group member. This permission is selected by default and is mandatory hence not editable.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mention bot<\/strong> &#8211; Needed when the bot is mentioned in a post, to see the post and to reply to comments. This permission is selected by default and is required for the bot to respond to users in groups.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Manage group content<\/strong> &#8211; Required to post and comment in groups. This permission is selected by default and is required for the bot to respond to users in groups.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Create link previews<\/strong> &#8211; Needed to see links added to posts in order to display a preview for certain domains.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Read user email<\/strong> &#8211; Required to see any group member\u2019s email address.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Read work profile<\/strong> &#8211; Required to see any group member\u2019s complete profile, including phone number, department, and location.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Read org chart<\/strong> &#8211; Needed to check a group member\u2019s profile to see who they report to and who reports to them;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Note: You are advised to set the permissions correctly after evaluating the above-mentioned link carefully. Managing the permissions for your bot after installing the Kore.ai application on your workplace account needs you to uninstall the application on the workplace account and re-authorize it in the bot platform.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Authorize<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>You are redirected to Workplace by Facebook page.<\/li>\n<li>Log in to your <em>Facebook Workplace<\/em> admin account.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Add to Workplace<\/strong> to generate a page access token to enable access for the Kore.ai platform.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Customize<\/strong> to provide the following details for the instance of Kore.ai application installed on Workplace by Facebook account:\n<ul>\n<li>integration logo<\/li>\n<li>name<\/li>\n<li>description<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>permissions<\/strong> needed by the Kore.ai bot is selected based upon the configuration given in step 4.<\/li>\n<li>Select the groups to which the bot needs to be added and click <strong>Add to Workplace<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Once the instance of Kore.ai application is added to your Workplace by Facebook account, you are redirected to Kore.ai Bot Builder.<\/li>\n<li>In Bot Builder, from the <strong>Configuration<\/strong> tab, click <strong>Yes<\/strong> in the <strong>Enable Channel<\/strong> section; and click <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The bot may require your\u00a0Bots Admin approval and assignment before it is available to any users.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_small with_line width_default thick_1 style_solid color_border align_center\"><div class=\"w-separator-h\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h1><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Edit_the_Channel\"><\/span>Edit the Channel<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n<p>To edit the Workplace by\u00a0Facebook channel,<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Hover over the channel to modify, and then click the <strong>Settings<\/strong> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"icon alignnone wp-image-2113 size-full\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/22\/DIYSettingsIcon-1.png\" width=\"18\" height=\"18\" \/> icon displayed to show the command menu displayed in the following image.<br \/>\n<a ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/22\/DIYChannelsTabWorkplaceByFacebookEdit.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11278\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/22\/DIYChannelsTabWorkplaceByFacebookEdit.png\" alt=\"Channels Tab - Workplace By Facebook\" width=\"1049\" height=\"253\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nSelect one of the following commands to modify the channel:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Edit<\/strong> &#8211; Click to open the Workplace by\u00a0Facebook channel setup page.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Disable\/Enable<\/strong> &#8211; Click <strong>Disable<\/strong> to temporarily disable the use of the Workplace by Facebook channel for your bot. When the channel is disabled, click <strong>Enable<\/strong> to enable the use of the Workplace by Facebook channel.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Delete<\/strong> &#8211; Click <strong>Delete<\/strong>.
