SmartAssist uses the Kore.ai Virtual Assistant platform to build the smart assistant. This implies that a bot is built and configured by default using the Kore.ai Virtual Assistant platform. You need not be aware of the implementation details. But in case, you are well-versed with the virtual assistant platform and have a bot ready catering to your business needs, you can utilize that bot to build the SmartAssist application.<\/span><\/p>\n

After<\/span> you log in, on the Welcome dialog box, select an option:<\/p>\n

  1. Create New Bot<\/li>\n
  2. Select Existing Bot<\/li>\n
  3. Choose Pre-trained Bot<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    <\/span>Create New Bot<\/span><\/h2>\n

    To create a new bot, follow the below steps:<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. Click Create New Bot<\/b>.<\/li>\n
    2. On the Create a New Bot dialog box, enter a name in the SmartAssist Bot Name<\/strong> field.<\/li>\n
    3. You can also import a bot using the bot definition <\/em>and configuration files<\/em>. To import, select the I want to Import a Bot using bot definition & configuration files<\/strong> checkbox.\n

      1. In the Bot Definition File<\/strong> field, click Choose File<\/strong> to locate and choose a file.<\/li>\n
      2. In the Bot Config\u00a0File<\/strong> field, click Choose File to <\/strong>locate and choose a configuration file.<\/li>\n
      3. In the Custom Script File<\/strong> field, click Choose File <\/strong>to locate and choose a custom script file.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
      4. Under the Bot Icon<\/strong> section, select a bot icon.<\/li>\n
      5. Click Import<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        <\/span>Select Existing Bot<\/span><\/h2>\n

        To select an existing bot, follow the below steps:<\/span><\/p>\n

        1. C<\/span>lick <\/span>Select Existing Bot<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n
        2. On the <\/span>Select from Existing Bot<\/b> dialog box, select a bot.<\/span><\/li>\n
        3. By default, Create a Backup<\/strong> checkbox is selected. During the bot conversion process, your bot will be modified. So it is recommended to create a backup.<\/li>\n
        4. Click <\/span>Convert Bot<\/b>. A backup of your bot is created and downloaded as a zip file.<\/span><\/li>\n
        5. On the Convert Bot<\/strong> dialog box, you can find the status of the bot conversion.<\/span><\/li>\n
        6. You can also download the log file. Click Download Log<\/strong> File<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
        7. Click Done<\/strong> and you can access the application.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          <\/span>Choose Pre-trained Bot<\/span><\/h2>\n

          To select a pre-trained bot, follow the below steps:<\/span><\/p>\n

          1. Click <\/span>Choose Pre-trained Bot<\/b>.<\/li>\n
          2. On the Templates from Bot Store page, you can find the list of template bots offered and explore them based on various categories as listed below:\n
              \n
            1. You can filter<\/strong> the bots based on the following criteria:\n
                \n
              • Domains<\/em> like customer service, HR, Healthcare, Retail, Telecom, and more.<\/li>\n
              • Features <\/em>like NLU concepts Digital Views, IVR integration, Omnichannel experience, and more.<\/li>\n
              • Integrations <\/em>like Salesforce, etc.<\/li>\n
              • Channels<\/em> for deployment like Email, Facebook Messenger, Twilio, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
              • You can sort<\/strong> the template bots based on:\n
                  \n
                • Number of installations<\/li>\n
                • Recency<\/li>\n
                • Alphabetically<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                • Hover over a template <\/span>bot to preview<\/strong> its features like:\n
                    \n
                  1. Name, icon, and summary of the bot.<\/li>\n
                  2. Associated features, complexity, the channels of deployment, and the number of downloads.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                  3. On the preview display, click Explore<\/strong> for more details. On the corresponding dialog box, you can find:\n
                      \n
                    1. A video<\/strong> that explains the bot’s features.<\/li>\n
                    2. Two sections that give:\n
                        \n
                      • Overview<\/strong> – This section gives a summary of the template <\/span>bot and the features available in this bot.<\/li>\n
                      • Technical Specifications<\/strong> – This section gives a detailed overview of the technical aspects of the bot like data source, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
                      • On the right column, you can find:\n
                          \n
                        1. Category<\/em> and complexity<\/em> of the bot.<\/li>\n
                        2. The number of times the bot was downloaded.<\/li>\n
                        3. The list of channels,<\/em> languages,<\/em> and integrations<\/em> (if any) supported.<\/li>\n
                        4. The Related Bots<\/em> section for bots similar to the selected template <\/span>bot.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
                        5. After exploring the bot, click Install<\/strong> to install the bot.<\/li>\n
                        6. On the Install Template dialog box, by default, the Instructions<\/strong> tab is selected. You can find the installation guide for the selected template bot at the given link.<\/li>\n
                        7. Click the Bot Details<\/strong> tab. Enter the Bot Name<\/strong> and select the Bot Icon<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
                        8. Click the Required Variables<\/strong> tab and enter the details. Details vary depending on the template bot selected.<\/li>\n
                        9. Click Setup<\/strong> to install the template bot or click Abort<\/strong> to cancel the installation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
