A Role<\/strong> designates the permissions and the user’s level to the features of the Agent Desktop<\/em> to the user. Based on the role, a user can either have either no access,\u00a0 view-only access, or full access (both view and edit). The Role Management<\/strong> feature lets the user create roles and set the access level for the following permissions:<\/p>\n

<\/span>Add a New Role<\/span><\/h2>\n

To add a new role, follow these steps:<\/p>\n

1. On the left pane, click the Role Management<\/strong> menu option under\u00a0the User Management<\/b>.<\/p>\n

\"\"2.\u00a0Click + New Role<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

3. In the New Role<\/strong> window, provide inputs for the following fields:<\/p>\n

  • Role Name<\/strong> \u2013 This name is assigned to an agent role (for example: administrator, system admin, developer).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      \n
    • Role Type<\/strong> – Select an option from the drop-down list (the default selection is Agent Desktop<\/strong>).<\/li>\n
    • Description<\/strong> \u2013 Add the purpose and other information for roles and the responsibilities.<\/li>\n
    • Permission <\/strong>– Set the dashboard access controls permissions by selecting either No, View, or Full.\n

      • No for no access permission.<\/li>\n
      • View for only view access permission. and<\/li>\n
      • Full for full access (view and change) permission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        4. Click Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

        <\/span>Edit a Role<\/span><\/h2>\n

        To edit an existing role, follow these steps:<\/p>\n

        1. Click on the Role Name <\/strong>you want to update from the list.<\/p>\n

        2. In the Edit Role window, make changes to the required field values, and click Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

        3. Upon successful update, a confirmation message is displayed.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

        <\/span>Delete a Role<\/span><\/h2>\n

        To delete a role, follow these steps:<\/p>\n

        1. Click the delete icon<\/strong> of the custom Role Management<\/strong> entry that you wish to delete.<\/p>\n

        2.\u00a0 Click Yes <\/strong>on the confirmation window.<\/p>\n

        3. Upon deletion a success confirmation message is displayed and the role is deleted from the list.<\/p>\n
