The Exclude Document stage in <\/span>Indexing Pipeline<\/span><\/a> allows you to drop all the documents that match the specified conditions. SearchAssist ignores documents in the subsequent stages of the indexing pipeline and leaves them without indexing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ensure\u00a0 to click <\/span>Train your App<\/b> each time you make changes to any index configuration. This builds the index based on the updated configurations.\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

To configure a exclude document stage, take the following steps:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Click the <\/span>Indices <\/b>tab on the top.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. On the left pane, under the <\/span>Index Configuration<\/b> section, click <\/span>Workbench<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. On the Workbench (Index Configuration) page, on the <\/span>Stages <\/b>column, click the <\/span>+<\/b> icon.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Select <\/span>Exclude Document<\/b> from the <\/span>Stage Type<\/b> dropdown list.\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Enter a name in the <\/span>Stage Name<\/b> field.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Enter a condition in the <\/span>Condition <\/b>field. Add multiple conditions using the AND\/OR connectors. SearchAssist excludes the documents that contain the field mentioned in the conditions as part of the stage. See <\/span>Conditions for Excluding Docs<\/span><\/a>.<\/span>
    \n<\/span>NOTE: It’s mandatory to add conditions for defining the Exclude Document stage.    \"\"<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Click <\/span>Simulate<\/b> to verify the configurations. The simulator displays the Source and the number of documents to which the mapping was applied, and the result. You can change the Source and the number of documents if there is no mention of it in the conditions.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. Once ready, click <\/span>Save Configuration<\/b> on the upper-right.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Conditions for Excluding Docs<\/span><\/p>\n

    Condition is of the following format: <\/span>ctx.fieldtype==value<\/span> or <\/span>ctx.fieldtype!=value<\/span>. i.e.,\u00a0 <\/span>the condition can be a certain field type equals a certain value or not equal to a certain value.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    value here being file types: FAQs, web\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    The <\/span>field_name<\/span><\/i> can be obtained from the Fields table under Index Configuration.<\/span>
    \n<\/span>For example, <\/span>ctx.contentType==”web”<\/span> to restrict the extraction to the content from a web source.<\/span><\/p>\n
