SearchAssist\u2019s Field Management allows you to add, delete and manage the properties of the fields. Field properties created here are used in creating the search index schema.<\/span><\/p>\n

When you extract a web page, document, or add an FAQ manually, corresponding fields are automatically added to the Fields <\/i>table. You can add to this default list. All the derived and custom fields can be viewed on the <\/span>Fields <\/strong>page under selected Index Configuration. Also, make changes in field properties for custom fields to use the field for multiple purposes such as weights, facets, etc. <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>Adding<\/span><\/h2>\n

To add a field, follow the below steps:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Click the <\/span>Indices <\/b>tab on the top.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. On the left pane, under the <\/span>Index Configuration<\/b> section, click <\/span>Fields<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. On the Fields page, click <\/span>+ Add Field<\/b> on the top-right.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. On the Add Field dialog box, enter a name in the<\/span> Field Name <\/b>field.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Select a field type from the <\/span>Field Type <\/b>drop-down list.\u00a0<\/span>It can be\n
