When you either do not have a ready source of FAQs or have a need to supplement the existing FAQs with more specific FAQs<\/span>, you can use the option to <\/span>directly add FAQs<\/span> manually to your Search Assistant. Enter the Question-Response pair for each FAQ. You can <\/span>add multiple alternate questions for the same response and\/or add multiple answers for the same question.<\/span><\/p>\n

To add FAQs manually,<\/span> take the following steps<\/span>:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. On the Sources tab, click <\/span>FAQs <\/b>on the left pane.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. On the FAQs page, click the <\/span>Add FAQ <\/b>and select <\/span>Add FAQs Manually<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. In the Add FAQs dialog box, enter a question in the <\/span>Question <\/b>field.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Under the <\/span>Answers <\/b>section, click <\/span>+ Response<\/b>.<\/span>\"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
  5. In the <\/span>Editor <\/b>layout, type the required Virtual Assistant response. You can apply simple formatting options like Bold, Italics, indentation, bullets, or include links.<\/span> \"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
  6. Use Image URL<\/b>\u00a0 to be used in the results template\u00a0selected.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Use Conditional Response<\/b> to add conditions when a particular response is qualified. This is particularly helpful when you have multiple responses and would like to present a specific response in a specific user\u00a0 or business context. Refer <\/span>Adding Conditional Responses<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. Click <\/span>Save<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. Once you save the questions they are staged in the Drafts section.\u00a0 Then you can add <\/span>Alternate Questions.<\/b> They are different ways in which the user might query with the same intent. For example, <\/span>How do I pay my bills? Can you tell me the process to pay the bill?<\/span><\/i> etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Note: SearchAssist identifies duplication of FAQs from the various sources and notifies to ensure no duplicate entries are made and each FAQ has a unique record.<\/span><\/p>\n
